The Architecture of XRANGE: Inspired by constraints
HONG FOUNDATION
Learning spaces defined by verb furniture
The new space for HFEC, in tandem with its self-generating logo and VI system, is designed for self-organizing, user-defined activities. The main public space works as an event chain, which programs are defined by mutable Event Units or “activity furniture”. The Project Seek is a 40m long informal education and event space. Each program blends into the next with no clear boundary: reading room, entrance foyer, lecture lounge, exhibition space and brainstorming area can be used in infinite configurations.
